India has 1.3% of global M&A deals an article from Rediff News extracted from Business Standard
Globally, 2,932 M&A deals worth $732.32 billion were struck in 2006, compared with 3,000 deals worth $736 billion last year. Of the 113 deals involving India, Indian companies accounted for 53 overseas buyouts valued at $3.91 billion, while overseas companies struck 60 deals worth $5.69 billion.

“Tata Motors, Fiat to invest Rs 4,000 cr in new facility” an article from Business Line on International Trade.
“The joint venture will manufacture the Fiat 1.3-litre multi-jet diesel engine, the 1.4-litre and a new 1.2-litre petrol engine, both part of the `Fire family and Fiat transmissions.”
